CHAOEN Aluminum Honeycomb Panel (Wardrobe & Carcass Series) is a 100% aluminum sandwich panel for whole-house custom furniture. The hexagonal aluminum honeycomb core carries load across the entire panel while keeping weight at roughly 5.5 kg per square metre, so full-height doors stay flat and long shelves stay straight. Where particleboard and MDF sag, bow and pull loose at the hinges over time, this panel holds its geometry for the life of the furniture.
Detailed Description
No sag on long spans. A honeycomb core works like a series of vertical columns between two skins, so bending load is distributed instead of concentrated. Wardrobe shelves, bookshelf runs and full-height door leaves keep a straight line under sustained load rather than developing the permanent downward bow that chipboard shelves show after a year or two.
Light enough to protect the hardware. At about 5.5 kg per square metre for an 18 mm panel, a full-height aluminum honeycomb door is significantly lighter than the same door in MDF. Hinges and drawer runners see less stress, doors stay aligned, and installers can lift and fit tall panels without extra labour.
Stable in every climate, with zero formaldehyde. The all-aluminum build does not respond to humidity and is dimensionally stable from -50 C to 120 C, so wardrobes behave the same in coastal, tropical and dry inland markets. There is no formaldehyde emission at all, and the panel is rated A2 non-combustible.
Full customization for whole-house projects. 200+ solid colours with RAL, Pantone and NCS matching, matte or gloss, optional anti-fingerprint coating, thickness from 14 mm to 20 mm, cut-to-size panels and aluminum or handleless edge profiles, supplied as flat panels or as machined parts for assembly.

A2: The panel weighs about 5.5 kg per square metre at 18 mm, substantially less than the equivalent MDF panel. Lighter doors mean less hinge stress, better long-term alignment and easier installation.
Q3: Will the doors warp in humid or coastal conditions?
A3: No. The construction is entirely aluminum and does not absorb moisture, so it remains dimensionally stable from -50 C to 120 C regardless of local humidity.

A4: 18 mm is the standard for both doors and carcass panels, with 14 mm, 16 mm and 20 mm also available. Wall and ceiling panels are 7-9 mm and full door leaves 38-48 mm, so confirm the application before ordering.
Q5: Can the panels be machined, drilled and fitted with standard furniture hardware?
A5: Yes. Panels can be cut, drilled and routed with standard woodworking tooling and accept common hinges, runners and connectors. We also supply cut-to-size and pre-machined parts on request.
Q6: Is it really formaldehyde free?
A6: Yes. There is no wood, paper or urea-formaldehyde adhesive in the panel, so emission is zero. This suits children's rooms, healthcare projects and any specification with indoor air quality requirements.
Q7: What is the MOQ and can we test samples first?
A7: MOQ is 500 square meters per colour or finish. Free samples are supplied beforehand so you can verify colour, thickness, edge finish and machining behaviour.
