CHAOEN Aluminum Honeycomb Panel (Bathroom Vanity Series) is a 100% aluminum sandwich panel built for permanently wet rooms. A hexagonal aluminum honeycomb core is bonded between two aluminum face sheets and finished with an anti-bacterial coating, so the panel absorbs no water and offers nothing for mould or bacteria to feed on. Unlike MDF or plywood vanities, which swell at the base and grow black mould along the edges within a few years, this panel stays flat, clean and hygienic for the life of the room.
Detailed Description
Mould cannot grow because there is nothing organic in the panel. The face sheets, the honeycomb core and the back sheet are all aluminum. There is no wood fibre, no paper honeycomb and no starch-based glue layer, so the biological food source that mould and mildew require is simply absent. Combined with an anti-bacterial surface coating, this makes the series suitable for hospital washrooms, hotel bathrooms and any humid space with strict hygiene requirements.
Zero water absorption in constant steam and splash conditions. Vanity units sit directly under basins and beside showers, where MDF fails first at the bottom edge. This panel absorbs no water at all, so there is no swelling, no edge blistering, no delamination and no need for silicone edge protection.
A2 fire rating, zero formaldehyde and easy daily cleaning. The panel is non-combustible and emits no formaldehyde, which matters in enclosed bathrooms with limited ventilation. The non-porous surface releases soap scum, toothpaste, cosmetics and limescale with a damp cloth and neutral detergent, with no sealing or refinishing required.
Colour freedom and factory customization. Panels come in 200+ solid colours with RAL, Pantone and NCS matching in matte or gloss, with an optional anti-fingerprint layer. Thickness runs 14-20 mm, sizes are cut to project drawings, and edges can be finished with aluminum banding or a handleless profile.

Q1: Will black mould appear along the bottom edge like it does on MDF vanities?
A1: No. Mould needs an organic food source. This panel is aluminum face, aluminum honeycomb core and aluminum back, with no wood, paper or starch glue, so mould has nothing to grow on even in a permanently humid bathroom.
Q2: Can the vanity be installed directly under a basin or beside a shower?
A2: Yes. Water absorption is 0%, so splashes, steam and even standing water cause no swelling or delamination. No special edge sealing is required.
Q3: What is the anti-bacterial coating and is it permanent?
A3: The surface is finished with an anti-bacterial coating applied during production rather than as an aftermarket spray. Test reports are available on request. The non-porous aluminum surface also prevents bacteria from penetrating the panel body.
Q4: What thickness do you recommend for vanity doors and carcasses?
A4: 18 mm is standard for vanity doors and drawer fronts. The series also runs 14 mm, 16 mm and 20 mm. Our wall and ceiling panels are 7-9 mm and full door leaves are 38-48 mm, so please confirm the application.
Q5: Does the panel resist bathroom chemicals and cleaning products?
A5: Yes. The coated aluminum surface withstands normal bathroom cleaners, soap, toothpaste and cosmetics. We recommend neutral detergents and advise against strong abrasives on matte finishes.
Q6: Can you match our project colour scheme?
A6: Yes. 200+ solid colours are held in stock and we match RAL, Pantone and NCS references, in matte or gloss. Custom colour development is available for volume orders.
Q7: What is the MOQ and are samples available?
A7: MOQ is 500 square meters per colour or finish, and free samples are provided before a production order so you can confirm colour, thickness and edge finish.
Q8: Is the panel recyclable at end of life?
A8: Yes, 100%. The all-aluminum construction has no glue-bonded wood layers, so the whole panel can be recycled, which supports green building certification.
