CHAOEN Aluminum Honeycomb Panel (Kitchen Cabinet Door Series) is a 100% aluminum sandwich panel engineered for wet-area cabinetry. A hexagonal aluminum honeycomb core is bonded between two aluminum face sheets, creating a door panel that absorbs zero water, never swells, never warps and never releases formaldehyde. Where MDF, particleboard and plywood doors fail after long-term exposure to steam, splashes and humidity, this all-aluminum construction remains dimensionally stable for the life of the kitchen.
Detailed Description
Zero water absorption for real kitchen conditions. The face sheets, the honeycomb core and the back sheet are all aluminum, so there is no wood fibre, no paper and no organic filler anywhere in the panel. Water splashes, steam from cooking, dishwasher vapour and even direct soaking cause no swelling, no edge blistering and no delamination. This makes the series the natural choice for sink units, dishwasher surrounds, bathroom vanities and laundry cabinets.
Lightweight strength that protects hinges and carcasses. The hexagonal honeycomb core distributes load across the whole panel while keeping weight at roughly 5.5 kg per square metre for an 18 mm door. Tall doors stay flat instead of sagging, hinges carry less stress, and installers can handle full-height panels without extra manpower.
A2 fire rating and zero formaldehyde. The panel is classified A2 non-combustible and emits no formaldehyde, which suits residential kitchens, rental developments, hotel pantries and any project subject to indoor air quality or fire-safety review. The surface is non-porous, so grease, sauces and fingerprints wipe off with a damp cloth and no sealing or refinishing is ever required.
Colour freedom and factory customization. Panels are supplied in 200+ solid colours with RAL, Pantone and NCS matching, in matte or gloss, with an optional anti-fingerprint coating. Thickness runs from 14 mm to 20 mm, sizes are cut to project drawings, and edges can be finished with aluminum banding or a tongue-and-groove profile for handleless designs.

Q1: Are these panels really suitable for the area around a sink and dishwasher?
A1: Yes. The panel contains no wood or paper, and water absorption is 0%. Doors installed at sinks, dishwashers and in bathrooms will not swell, blister or delaminate, which is the most common failure point of MDF and particleboard doors.
Q2: What thickness should I order for cabinet doors?
A2: 18 mm is the standard for cabinet and wardrobe doors. The series also runs 14 mm, 16 mm and 20 mm. For reference, our ceiling and wall panels are 7-9 mm and our full door leaves are 38-48 mm, so please confirm the application before ordering.
Q3: How heavy is a finished door compared with MDF?
A3: About 5.5 kg per square metre at 18 mm. A full-height aluminum honeycomb door is substantially lighter than the equivalent MDF door, so standard hinges last longer and tall doors do not sag over time.
Q4: Will the doors warp in a hot or humid climate?
A4: No. The all-aluminum construction is dimensionally stable from -50 C to 120 C and does not respond to humidity changes, so doors stay flat in tropical, coastal and high-humidity markets.
