Detailed Description
Thick appearance, light reality. The honeycomb core creates depth at the edge while removing the mass from the middle. Buyers get the substantial slab look that stone and thick timber deliver, without the handling cost, the reinforced carcass or the floor loading calculations.
Strong enough for daily working surfaces. The core distributes point loads across the panel, so the surface resists dishing under appliances, equipment and leaning weight, and long island overhangs stay flat instead of drooping at the free edge.
Waterproof, hygienic and fire safe. With 0% water absorption the panel handles sinks, spills and steam without swelling. It is A2 non-combustible and emits no formaldehyde, and the non-porous surface wipes clean without sealing, unlike natural stone which needs periodic resealing.
Finishes and edges to specification. Solid colours, wood grains and marble-look surfaces are all available in the same construction, with 18, 20 and 25 mm thicknesses, cut-to-size tops and edge profiles prepared to your drawings.

A1: The core is hexagonal aluminum honeycomb rather than solid material, so the panel keeps its depth and stiffness at roughly 6 kg per square metre. That is a fraction of the weight of a stone slab of the same visual thickness.
Q2: Do I need a reinforced sub-frame or extra supports?
A2: In most cabinetry applications no. Standard base units carry the panel comfortably. For unusually long unsupported overhangs we will advise on spans based on your drawing.
Q3: Will the surface dent under appliances or equipment?
A3: The honeycomb core spreads point load across the panel rather than concentrating it, so the surface resists dishing under normal domestic and commercial equipment.
Q4: Is it suitable around sinks and hobs?
A4: Yes. Water absorption is 0% and the panel is A2 non-combustible, so both wet zones and heat-adjacent zones are covered. We recommend standard trivet practice for direct hot cookware as with any surface.
Q5: Does it need sealing like natural stone?
A5: No. The coated aluminum surface is non-porous, so there is no sealing, no resealing and no staining from oil or wine.
Q6: What thicknesses are available?
A6: 18 mm, 20 mm and 25 mm for worktop applications. 20 mm is the most specified. Thinner 14-16 mm boards are available in our cabinet door series.
Q7: Can you supply cut-to-size tops with finished edges?
A7: Yes. We cut to your drawing and prepare edge profiles, including mitred edges for a thicker apparent slab appearance.
