CHAOEN Aluminum Honeycomb Panel (Fire-Rated Hotel & Public Interior Series) is specified where the fire officer signs off the wall lining before the designer does. The panel is Class A2 non-combustible with no organic core, so there is no flame spread and no toxic smoke contribution, and the supporting classification documentation is supplied for project submittals.
Detailed Description
The fire risk in a public interior is the lining, not the structure. Corridor and lobby fires spread along wall and ceiling finishes. An all-aluminium panel with an aluminium honeycomb core has nothing to burn, so it does not contribute fuel or smoke to a developing fire.
Smoke matters as much as flame. Most fatalities in hotel and public building fires come from smoke inhalation, which is why A2-s1,d0 classification matters: no significant smoke production and no flaming droplets. Composite panels with polymer cores cannot make the same claim.
Documentation ready for submittal. Fire classification, test reports and batch traceability are supplied as part of the order so the main contractor can close out the fire strategy without chasing paperwork late in the programme.
Hospitality finishes without compromise. Champagne gold, brushed bronze, warm taupe, burgundy, walnut and smoked oak are all available on the same non-combustible construction, cut to size with concealed fixing for corridors, lobbies and feature walls.

Q1: What exactly is the fire classification?
A1: The panel is classified Class A2-s1,d0 under EN 13501-1. We supply the classification report with the order for your submittal package.
Q2: Does it produce smoke or flaming droplets?
A2: No. The s1,d0 designation means no significant smoke production and no flaming droplets, which is the key difference from polymer-cored composite panels.
Q3: Can you supply documentation for our fire strategy submittal?
A3: Yes. Classification reports, test certificates and batch traceability records are supplied as standard for project orders.
Q4: Is the same panel suitable for guest room doors as well as corridor walls?
A4: Wall and ceiling cladding is typically 7-9 mm, casework 18 mm and full door leaves 38-48 mm. Door leaves requiring a fire resistance rating are a separate certified assembly, so please advise the required rating.
Q5: How does it compare to fire-retardant treated MDF?
A5: Treated MDF is combustible material with a retardant, so it still contributes fuel and smoke. This panel is non-combustible in itself, which is a fundamentally different classification.
Q6: What metal and wood finishes are available?
A6: Champagne gold, brushed bronze and brushed silver metal finishes, plus warm taupe, coffee, ivory, burgundy, walnut, teak and smoked oak wood grains, with RAL, Pantone and NCS matching.
Q7: Does the panel scratch in high-traffic corridors?
A7: The coated aluminium face resists scuffing from luggage and trolleys and cleans with standard products. We recommend an anti-fingerprint or anti-scratch coating option for the busiest zones.
Q8: What is the MOQ?
