Aluminum honeycomb panel cold presses are important pieces of equipment used for processing aluminum honeycomb panels. They have specific requirements regarding the applicable sheet thickness.
Generally, aluminum honeycomb panel cold presses can handle relatively thin aluminum honeycomb panels, with a lower limit of approximately 5 mm. This is because excessively thin sheets may deform or break under pressure. For thinner sheets, the cold press can apply appropriate pressure to ensure a tight bond between the aluminum honeycomb core and the panel.
Regarding the upper limit of thickness, cold presses can typically handle thicknesses up to 50 mm. When processing thicker aluminum honeycomb panels (around 10 mm thick), the cold press's pressure system needs sufficient force to ensure uniform pressure throughout the panel. This is because thicker aluminum honeycomb panels have a more complex internal structure; only uniform pressure can ensure a perfect bond between the aluminum honeycomb core and the upper and lower panels, guaranteeing the panel's flatness and structural strength.
Different models and types of aluminum honeycomb panel cold presses may have different applicable panel thicknesses. Some high-end cold presses, due to their more powerful pressure systems and more precise control devices, may break through the upper limit of thickness and be able to handle thicker panels. For example, some special industrial cold presses can handle aluminum honeycomb panels up to 80 mm thick. Simultaneously, advanced cold presses can further reduce the lower limit of thickness by using more precise pressure adjustment, for example, handling 3 mm thick aluminum honeycomb panels to meet applications with high requirements for lightweight materials.
