CHAOEN Aluminum Honeycomb Panel (Wood Grain Cabinet Door Series) delivers the warmth of real timber with the durability of aluminum. A hexagonal aluminum honeycomb core is bonded between two aluminum sheets and finished with a scratch-resistant wood grain transfer coating, so cabinet doors keep a furniture-grade wood appearance while resisting the keys, cookware, cleaning pads and daily abrasion that quickly dull melamine and veneer fronts.
Detailed Description
A wood look that survives daily abuse. The wood grain is applied as a hard transfer coating onto an aluminum face rather than as a paper foil over particleboard, so it resists scratching, scuffing and edge chipping. Handles, rings, keys and pan bases leave no permanent marks, and the grain will not peel away from the substrate at the edges.
No swelling, no warping, no formaldehyde. Behind the wood grain the panel is entirely aluminum, so it absorbs no water and stays dimensionally stable in kitchens, near dishwashers and in humid climates. There is no urea-formaldehyde adhesive anywhere in the build, so emission is zero.
Lightweight strength for tall doors. At about 5.5 kg per square metre for an 18 mm panel, full-height wood-grain doors stay flat and place far less stress on hinges than the equivalent MDF door, which keeps alignment stable over years of use.
100+ wood grains with full customization. Choose from oak, walnut, teak, cherry, grey oak and weathered finishes, in matte or satin, with custom grain development available for volume orders. Thickness runs 14-20 mm with cut-to-size panels and aluminum or handleless edge profiles.

Q1: How is the wood grain applied and will it peel?
A1: The grain is a heat-transfer coating bonded directly onto the aluminum face, not a paper foil laminated onto board. It will not lift or peel at the edges the way melamine foil does on particleboard doors.
Q2: Will keys, pans or cleaning pads scratch the surface?
A2: The coating is formulated for scratch and abrasion resistance and withstands normal domestic contact including keys, cookware and non-abrasive scouring pads. Scratch test reports are available on request.
Q3: Does it look and feel like real wood?
A3: Yes. We offer 100+ grain patterns with synchronised texture options, so the surface reads as timber visually and to the touch while remaining a fully aluminum panel underneath.
Q4: Is it suitable for kitchens with heat and steam?
A4: Yes. Water absorption is 0% and the panel is dimensionally stable from -50 C to 120 C, so steam from cooking and dishwashers causes no swelling, blistering or grain distortion.
Q5: What thickness should we order?
A5: 18 mm is standard for cabinet and wardrobe doors, with 14 mm, 16 mm and 20 mm also available. Wall and ceiling panels are 7-9 mm and full door leaves 38-48 mm.
Q6: Can you match a grain we already use?
A6: Yes. Send us a physical sample or the decor code and we will match or develop the grain. Custom grain development is offered for volume orders.
Q7: What is the MOQ and lead time for samples?
A7: MOQ is 500 square meters per finish. Free samples are supplied before a production order so you can confirm grain, sheen and edge treatment.
Q8: Is the panel recyclable?
A8: Yes, 100%. There are no wood or paper layers bonded into the panel, so the whole board can be recycled at end of life.
