CHAOEN Aluminum Honeycomb Panel (PVDF Curtain Wall & Facade Series) is a slim architectural cladding panel built for permanent exterior exposure. The PVDF fluorocarbon coating holds its colour through twenty years of UV, and the honeycomb core keeps large-format cassettes flat, so the finished facade reads as crisp planes with consistent shadow gaps rather than rippled sheet metal.
Detailed Description
Flatness is what a facade is judged on. Single-skin aluminium sheet oil-cans visibly under sunlight, especially on large cassettes. The honeycomb core stiffens the panel across its full area, so wide spans stay optically flat and the joint lines stay straight.
PVDF is the difference between ten years and twenty. Standard polyester coatings chalk and fade on south elevations. PVDF fluorocarbon resists UV degradation, keeps gloss and colour, and is the specification architects write for facades they expect to look new after a decade.
Non-combustible, which now decides projects. Following international facade fire regulation changes, combustible-cored composite panels are excluded from many building types. An aluminium honeycomb core is Class A2 non-combustible with no polymer to burn.
Made as cassettes for your sub-frame. Panels are fabricated to your setting-out drawing with folded return edges and hook-on brackets to suit the sub-frame system, so installation is a hanging operation rather than site fabrication.
FAQ
Q1: What thickness should we specify for a facade?
A1: Facade cladding is normally 2-8 mm total. Thickness is selected from panel size, wind load and support spacing, so send us the panel schedule and we will advise.
Q2: Why PVDF instead of powder coating?
A2: PVDF fluorocarbon resists UV chalking and fading far better than polyester systems, which is why it is standard for exterior architectural work. PE coating is available where budget dominates and exposure is mild.
Q3: Will large panels stay flat?
A3: Yes. That is the main reason honeycomb is chosen over single-skin aluminium for large cassettes. The core resists the oil-canning that shows up under raking sunlight.
Q4: Is the panel suitable under current facade fire regulations?
A4: It is Class A2 non-combustible with no organic core, which is the classification most jurisdictions now require for facades on tall or high-risk buildings. Classification reports are supplied.
Q5: Can you match our architect's RAL or Pantone reference?
A5: Yes. RAL, Pantone and NCS matching are standard, including metallic effects, and we supply a pre-production sample for approval.
Q6: Do you supply the fixing brackets and sub-frame?
A6: We fabricate the panels as cassettes with folded returns and hook-on brackets to suit your specified sub-frame. Confirm the system and we will detail the panels to it.
Q7: Can you provide wind load calculations?
A7: We supply the panel test report on request. Project-specific wind load calculation is normally done by the facade engineer using that data.
Q8: What is the MOQ?
A8: 500 square meters per colour or finish, with free samples supplied for architect approval.
