Which Aluminum Honeycomb Panel Bonding Process Is Best?

In my opinion, the thermoplastic film continuous lamination process is currently the best-performing aluminum honeycomb panel bonding process overall, especially suitable for projects with high requirements for strength, durability, and production efficiency.

It uses thermoplastic film instead of traditional adhesives, achieving automated production through a continuous thermal lamination machine. The bonding strength can reach 3-5 times that of traditional processes, with a peel strength as high as approximately 18 N/mm. Furthermore, it boasts excellent weather resistance, high panel flatness, and virtually no delamination.

Comparison of Three Processes

Process | Bonding Strength | Weather Resistance | Adhesive Layer Characteristics | Applicable Scenarios

Thermoplastic Film Continuous Lamination | Extremely High (18N/mm) | Excellent | Good toughness, vibration resistant | Building curtain walls, transportation, high-end decoration

Epoxy Film | Lower (4N/mm) | Good | Relatively brittle, prone to delamination under long-term vibration | Interior decoration, occasions requiring weather resistance

Room Temperature Curing | Low (4N/mm) | Poor | Flexible but easily affected by moisture | Temporary indoor partitions, low-cost projects
