Honeycomb Panel Manufacturing Process

Process and Industry Standards
The manufacturing of honeycomb panels involves core material stretching, panel lamination, and hot-pressing curing. Taking aluminum honeycomb panels as an example, the core material needs to be stretched 180° to form a regular hexagonal honeycomb structure, with the pore size accuracy controlled within ±0.1mm; the bonding strength between the panel and the core material needs to reach 1.5MPa or higher (according to GB/T 17748-2016 standard). Plastic honeycomb panels must meet RoHS environmental requirements, with the core material density controlled between 30-50kg/m³.

Application Scenarios

Construction: Metal honeycomb panels are used in airport terminals and stadium curtain walls, enabling large-size installations of 3m×6m panels and reducing the number of seams.

Logistics Packaging: Turnover boxes made of paper honeycomb panels can bear a load of up to 500kg, can be reused more than 20 times, and reduce costs by 40% compared to wooden boxes.

Electronics Industry: Antistatic plastic honeycomb panels (surface resistance 10⁶-10⁹Ω) are used for packaging cleanroom equipment to prevent damage to precision components from static electricity.

Furniture Manufacturing: Cabinet back panels made of wood honeycomb panels, only 6mm thick, can meet load-bearing requirements, saving 60% of material compared to 15mm solid wood boards.
