Product Overview

The Compact Laminate Panel is a solid, self-supporting high-pressure laminate (HPL) panel manufactured by bonding multiple layers of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin under high temperature (150°C) and pressure (7–9 MPa). The surface is finished with a decorative paper layer and a wear-resistant melamine overlay. The result is a dense (≥1,350 kg/m³), 100% waterproof, impact-resistant panel that requires no substrate - it is a finished structural material in itself. Available in thicknesses from 2mm to 25mm, with 150+ decorative surface options including solid colors, realistic wood grains, marble textures, stone patterns, and custom digital prints. Edge treatment requires no separate banding - edges can be polished, beveled, or chamfered to reveal the solid-color core, creating a monolithic appearance. The panel is the material of choice for demanding applications where hygiene, durability, and moisture resistance are paramount: toilet cubicles, laboratory worksurfaces, hospital wall cladding, school lockers, restaurant tables, and commercial furniture.

Key Features & Advantages

• 100% Waterproof, Solid Core - No substrate, no lamination to MDF or plywood. The panel is waterproof through its entire thickness. No swelling, no delamination in wet environments.

• Exceptional Impact Resistance - High-density phenolic-resin-impregnated core withstands heavy use and vandalism without denting or cracking. Ideal for high-traffic public spaces.

• Hygienic & Antibacterial - Non-porous surface prevents bacterial growth. Easy to sanitize with standard cleaning agents. Meets hospital and food-service hygiene standards.

• Fire-Rated B1 - Phenolic resin core is self-extinguishing and does not produce flaming droplets. Compliant with GB 8624 B1 and EN 13501 Class B.

• No Edge Banding Required - Solid core can be factory-polished or beveled at edges. No edge tape to peel or delaminate - monolithic appearance for 25+ years.

• Scratch & Chemical Resistant - Melamine overlay resists scratches, abrasion (Taber 400–600+ cycles), and common chemicals including acids, alkalis, and solvents.

• UV & Fade Resistant - Decorative surface retains color in sunlight-exposed areas. Suitable for exterior semi-covered applications with appropriate UV-stabilized grades.

• Eco-Friendly - E1/E0 formaldehyde emission grades available. Long service life (25+ years) reduces replacement waste. Manufacturing scrap can be recycled as fuel.

• 150+ Design Options - Solid colors, realistic EIR wood grains, marble and stone textures, abstract patterns, custom digital prints. Matte, satin, and high-gloss finishes.

• Precision Fabrication - Cuts, drills, and routes on standard CNC woodworking equipment with carbide tooling. Factory pre-cut and edge-polish service available.

Processing & Packaging

All panels ship as flat sheets (1220×2440 mm standard) with PE protective film on the decorative surface. Panels are stacked with foam interlayers, corner-protected with cardboard, palletized on plywood pallets, and stretch-wrapped. Export orders are crated with moisture-barrier lining. Pre-cut and edge-polished panels are individually labeled with position codes. MOQ: 100 sheets standard finishes; 200 sheets custom colors/patterns. Samples: 150×150 mm or A5 swatches available for color approval. Lead time: 3–5 working days stock solid colors; 10–15 working days custom color/texture; 15–25 working days large-volume orders. FCL/LCL sea freight (FOB/CIF). Store flat in dry ventilated area; keep PE film on until after installation.

Compact Laminate (HPL) Panel FAQ

Q: 1. What is a Compact Laminate (HPL) Panel?

A: A Compact Laminate Panel, also known as High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) Compact Board or, is a solid, self-supporting panel made by bonding multiple layers of kraft paper impregnated with phenolic resin under high temperature (150°C) and pressure (7–9 MPa). The surface is finished with a decorative paper layer and a wear-resistant overlay. The result is a dense, waterproof, impact-resistant panel that requires no substrate. It is widely used in toilet partitions, laboratory worktops, wall cladding, lockers, and furniture where durability and hygiene are critical.
• Core: Multiple kraft paper layers + phenolic resin
• Surface: Decorative paper + wear-resistant overlay

• Furniture & countertops: High-traffic commercial furniture, restaurant tables, retail displays
• Hospital & healthcare: Antibacterial surface ideal for clean environments

Q: 5. What are the advantages over traditional materials (MDF, plywood, solid surface)?

A: ① 100% Waterproof - unlike MDF or plywood, compact laminate does not swell, warp, or delaminate in wet conditions
② Superior impact resistance - high-density phenolic core withstands heavy use without denting
③ Antibacterial & hygienic - non-porous surface prevents bacterial growth, easy to sanitize
④ Fire-rated B1 - self-extinguishing, does not contribute to flame spread
⑤ Scratch & chemical resistant - withstands harsh cleaning agents and daily wear
⑥ No edge banding required - solid-core material can be polished at edges, no peeling risk
⑦ Eco-friendly - E1/E0 formaldehyde emission, long service life reduces replacement waste

Q: 6. What surface finishes and colors are available?

A: • Solid colors: Matte, satin, high-gloss - 50+ standard colors
• Wood grain textures: Oak, walnut, teak, ash, cherry, maple - realistic touch and appearance

• Abstract & custom patterns: Custom digital print available for branded or unique designs
• Finish types: Matte (anti-fingerprint), satin (natural sheen), high-gloss (modern premium), textured (wood/stone feel)

Q: 7. Is the panel fire-resistant?

A: Yes. Compact Laminate is rated B1 (Fire-Retardant) under GB 8624. The phenolic-resin-impregnated core is self-extinguishing and does not produce flaming droplets. For projects requiring higher ratings, upgraded fire-retardant formulations are available. Third-party SGS fire test reports can be provided upon request. The panel also meets EN 13501 Class B standards for European markets.

Q: 8. What is the typical production lead time?

A: • Stock solid colors (standard thickness): 3–5 working days
• Custom color / texture match: 10–15 working days
• Large-volume orders: 15–25 working days, depending on quantity
Actual delivery time depends on order volume and current production schedule. Rush orders may be accommodated with surcharge.

Q: 9. How are the panels packaged and shipped?

A: Packaging: Each panel is protected with PE film on the decorative surface, separated by foam interlayer sheets, bundled with cardboard corner protectors, and secured on plywood pallets or wooden crates.
Shipping:
• Domestic: Dedicated logistics or LTL delivery
• International: FCL/LCL sea freight (FOB/CIF terms), 20GP or 40HQ containers
Our protective packaging ensures minimal transit damage. We assist with insurance claims in the rare event of shipping damage.

Q: 10. How are compact laminate panels fabricated and installed?

A: Fabrication: Panels can be cut, drilled, routed, and edge-polished using standard woodworking CNC equipment with carbide-tipped tools.
Installation methods:
• Wall cladding: Screw-fixed to substrate or aluminum keel frame with color-matched screws
• Toilet partitions: Mounted on stainless steel or aluminum frame systems with brackets and hinges
• Countertops: Adhesive-bonded to substrate or supported by cabinet frames
• Lockers: CNC-cut panels assembled with cam-lock connectors or screws
We provide technical installation guides and can recommend compatible hardware and frame systems.
