Product Introduction
CHAOEN Wardrobe & Storage System is a 25-30 mm aluminium honeycomb carcass panel pressed up to 2700 x 1500 mm in a single piece. That size is the point of the product: a full-height wardrobe side, a floor-to-ceiling divider or a tall sliding-door jamb goes in as one panel with no horizontal joint line to align, fill or explain to the client. The deep honeycomb core also gives the stiffness that long hanging rails and loaded top boxes need, so a 1200 mm rail span does not bow the panel it is fixed to. Panels are supplied cut to size with rail fixings, shelf pin holes and hinge prep machined to the unit schedule.
Detailed Description
One panel, floor to ceiling. Pressed to 2700 x 1500 mm in a single piece, a full-height wardrobe side needs no horizontal joint. Fewer parts to align on site, no seam that opens up over a season, and a visibly cleaner finished elevation - which is what separates a fitted wardrobe from a flat-pack one.
Deep core for real storage loads. At 25-30 mm the honeycomb core is deeper than a standard cabinet panel, giving the bending stiffness that long hanging rails, loaded shelves and overhead boxes demand. The panel carrying a 1200 mm rail full of winter coats stays straight.
Light for its size. At about 9.8 kg per square metre a full-height panel is still handleable on site, unlike an equivalent 28 mm solid wood-based board. For upper-floor apartments and lift access that difference decides whether panels can be carried in at all.
Nothing swells, ever. Both skins and the core are aluminium, so water absorption is zero. Wardrobes against an external wall, in coastal apartments or in humid climates do not develop the swollen bases and blown edges that particleboard carcasses show after a few damp seasons.
Takes wardrobe hardware properly. Hanging rail brackets, shelf pins, hinge cups and drawer runners are all machined to your hardware schedule, with fixing points prepared where the load actually goes. Specify the rail and runner system at order.
Zero formaldehyde in a bedroom. A wardrobe is a large surface area in a room people sleep in. There is no chipboard core to off-gas, and the panel is A2 class non-combustible, so both indoor air quality and fire performance are covered by the material itself.
Supplied as unit sets. Panels arrive cut, edge banded, pre-drilled and packed by wardrobe unit with a parts list, so assembly is straightforward and site cutting is avoided. Matching door and drawer front finishes come from the same colour batch.

FAQ
Q1: What is the largest single panel you can press?
A1: 2700 x 1500 mm in one piece. That covers a standard floor-to-ceiling wardrobe side in almost all residential ceiling heights without any horizontal joint.
Q2: Why does a single full-height panel matter?
A2: Because joints are where fitted furniture looks wrong and fails. A jointed side shows a horizontal line across the elevation, needs alignment on site, and can step or open slightly over time. One panel removes all three problems.
Q3: Which thickness should I specify?
A3: 25 mm for standard wardrobe carcass sides and shelves, 28 mm for full-height panels and long hanging rail spans, 30 mm for island units, heavily loaded shelving and anything spanning beyond 1200 mm unsupported.
Q4: How is this different from your 14-20mm cabinet panel?
A4: Depth of core and panel size. The kitchen panel is 14-20 mm for standard cabinet modules. This is 25-30 mm pressed up to 2700 x 1500 mm, for full-height wardrobe panels and longer unsupported spans. Weight goes from about 7.5 to 9.8 kg per square metre.
Q5: Can it carry a long hanging rail?
A5: Yes, that is what the deeper core is for. Actual span depends on thickness, rail fixing method and load, so send your rail lengths and expected loading and we will advise, with a deflection test report available on request.
Q6: Is it heavy to install?
A6: About 9.8 kg per square metre, so a 2700 x 600 mm full-height side is roughly 16 kg - a two-person lift but entirely manageable. A solid wood-based board of the same size and thickness would be substantially heavier.
Q7: Do you supply matching doors?
A7: Yes, from the same colour batch so carcass and fronts match exactly. Sliding door and hinged door panels can both be supplied - specify the door system at enquiry.
Q8: What edge treatment do you use?
A8: Aluminium edge banding or a sealed edge profile, closing the honeycomb cells at every cut edge so nothing enters the core and the edge stays clean.
Q9: Can you pre-drill for our hardware?
A9: Yes. Rail bracket fixings, shelf pin rows, hinge cups and drawer runner holes are machined to your hardware schedule. Send the hardware sheet and unit drawings with the order.
Q10: What is the MOQ and lead time?
A10: 500 square meters per colour or finish. Lead time is confirmed at order depending on finish, panel sizes and machining. Free samples are supplied before order.
