Product Introduction
CHAOEN Demountable Office Partition is a modular wall system built around a 12-16 mm aluminium honeycomb panel in a slim extruded aluminium frame. The panels unclip from the frame and go back up in a new position, so when a tenant reorganises departments or moves floor, the partitioning moves with them instead of being demolished into a skip. Each face of a panel can carry a different finish, which suits the common case where a meeting room interior and the open-plan side want different schemes. Posts and base tracks are hollow, so power and data run inside the wall rather than in surface trunking.
Detailed Description
Reconfigure without demolition. Panels lift out of the head and base track and clip back in elsewhere. No wet trades, no plaster dust, no waiting for skim coats to dry - a floor can be re-divided over a weekend and be back in use on Monday.
The asset moves with the tenant. A plasterboard wall is written off the moment layout changes. These panels are recovered intact and reinstalled at the new premises, which is why the system gets specified by occupiers on short leases and by fit-out contractors selling reusable stock.
A different finish on each side. The two faces are laminated separately, so a meeting room can be warm oak inside while the open-plan side stays soft white, with no extra framing and no applied second skin.
Services inside the wall. The aluminium post and base track carry a cable void for power and data drops, so socket and data plates sit flush in the partition instead of running in surface trunking along the skirting.
Mix solid and glazed along one run. Solid panel, half glazed, full glazed and door modules all use the same frame and the same finish family, so a meeting room can go from solid at desk height to glazed above without a change of system.
Light and quiet to install. At about 6.5 kg per square metre the panels are handled without lifting gear, and installation is dry and low-noise, which matters when the rest of the floor is still occupied and working.
Non-combustible panel. The panel is A2 class with zero formaldehyde emission, so a long run of partitioning does not add combustible material or off-gassing to an enclosed office floor.
FAQ
Q1: Can the panels really be reused after they come down?
A1: Yes, that is the design intent. Panels unclip from the head and base track without cutting or breaking, so they can be stacked, transported and reinstalled. We number panels by position and supply a setting-out reference so refitting elsewhere is straightforward.
Q2: Can each side of the partition be a different colour?
A2: Yes. The two faces are laminated separately, so side A and side B can be different colours or wood grains. Specify both faces per module on the order schedule.
Q3: How do power and data run through the wall?
A3: Through the cable void inside the aluminium post and base track. Socket and data plates mount flush in the panel. Tell us the outlet positions at order and we prepare the cut-outs.
Q4: What is the maximum height?
A4: 3000 mm panel height as standard. For higher floor-to-soffit dimensions the system runs with a transom and an upper panel - send the section and we will confirm the arrangement.
Q5: Can I mix glass and solid panels?
A5: Yes. Solid, half glazed, full glazed and door modules share the same frame, so they combine freely along a run. Glazing can be single or double, clear or frosted.
Q6: Is it sound rated?
A6: Acoustic performance depends on the complete assembly - panel, glazing, frame seals, and whether the partition runs to the structural soffit or stops at a suspended ceiling. Tell us the target rating and the ceiling condition and we will advise, with test evidence supplied on request.
Q7: Does it need a suspended ceiling to fix into?
A7: No. The head track fixes to the soffit or to the ceiling grid depending on the installation. Running to the structural soffit gives better acoustic separation between rooms.
Q8: How much site disruption is involved?
A8: It is a dry installation - no plastering, no drying time and low noise and dust. This is why it is chosen for fit-outs on partially occupied floors.
Q9: What is the fire rating?
A9: The panel is A2 class non-combustible. For a fire-rated partition assembly the whole system including glazing and seals must be certified together - tell us the rating required and we will confirm what can be supplied.
Q10: What is the MOQ and lead time?
A10: 500 square meters per colour or finish. Lead time is confirmed at order depending on module mix, glazing and finishes. Free samples are supplied before order.
