CHAOEN Aluminum Honeycomb Panel (Acoustic Studio & Theatre Series) combines acoustic treatment and Class A2 fire safety in a single board. A micro-perforated aluminium face lets sound energy into the honeycomb cavity behind it, where it is dissipated inside the cells, so a studio, auditorium or cinema gets its acoustic performance without adding a separate combustible absorber layer behind the finish.
Detailed Description
Absorption built into the panel, not bolted on. Conventional acoustic build-ups place mineral wool or foam behind a decorative skin, which adds thickness, adds an organic layer and complicates the fire strategy. Here the honeycomb core itself forms the resonant cavity behind the perforated face.
Fire safety in the same board. Auditoria, cinemas and public halls are exactly the buildings where fire officers scrutinise wall linings. This panel is Class A2 non-combustible with no organic core, so the acoustic finish does not compromise the fire strategy.
Perforation to your acoustic specification. Micro round holes, fine slots and linear grooves are all available, and hole diameter, pitch and open area can be set to match the absorption curve your acoustic consultant requires. We supply the corresponding test report on request.
Finish quality for front-of-house spaces. The perforated face is available in wood grains, solid colours and deep theatre tones, cut to size with concealed fixing so the finished wall reads as architectural panelling rather than technical treatment.

Q1: What absorption performance can the panel achieve?
A1: It depends on the perforation pattern, open area and cavity depth specified. We supply the NRC and Rw test report for the configuration you select rather than quoting one figure for all versions.
Q2: Can you match a hole pattern specified by our acoustic consultant?
A2: Yes. Hole diameter, pitch, open area and pattern layout are all made to order on our CNC perforation line. Send the specification or drawing and we will confirm feasibility.
Q3: Does the panel need mineral wool behind it?
A3: The honeycomb cavity provides absorption on its own. Some specifications still add a backing layer for low-frequency performance, and we will advise based on your target curve.
Q4: Is the acoustic version still Class A2?
A4: Yes. Perforating the aluminium face does not introduce any organic material, so the panel remains Class A2 non-combustible.
Q5: What finishes are available on a perforated face?
A5: Wood grains, solid colours and deep theatre tones including charcoal, black and burgundy. The perforation is applied after coating so the finish is consistent across the face.
Q6: How is it fixed to the wall or ceiling?
A6: Concealed clip or rail systems are standard for acoustic installations so no fixings are visible. We supply installation guidance with the order.
Q7: Can unperforated panels be supplied in the same finish for feature areas?
A7: Yes. Perforated and plain panels in the same finish are frequently combined so absorption is placed only where the acoustic design requires it.
Q8: What is the MOQ?
A8: 500 square meters per colour or finish, with free samples so your consultant can review the perforation quality.
